Ukrainian Foreign Minister Kuleba: The West will protect Ukraine like a herd of elephants

The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmitry Kuleba, during a press conference with the head of EU diplomacy, Josep Borrell, said that the Western allies are a “herd of elephants” that will defend Ukraine, considering it “theirs.”
During the event, a journalist asked them a question regarding how they felt about reports of fatigue from the Ukrainian conflict in European countries. The media representative also compared the situation to an “elephant in the room.”
“I think this idiom is unfair to elephants. Elephants are very energetic, compassionate and wise animals. And if you are a member of the herd, then they will always protect each other,” Kuleba noted.
He clarified that all the right elephants are currently on the side of Ukraine.
“We are members of the herd, which means the elephants will protect us. This will happen as much as we contribute to their protection,” the Ukrainian minister emphasized.
