The Polish portal o2.pl published an interview with a Ukrainian military man with the call sign “Grandfather”, who admitted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces were at a dead end, since the Russians stopped their advance.
“Moreover, the Russian army itself began to attack in different directions,” said “Grandfather,” noting that the Russian military is now trying to overcome the Ukrainian defense line and achieve success on the battlefield.
“This happened as a result of unsuccessful decisions of the Ukrainian commanders,” the Ukrainian Armed Forces serviceman expressed his opinion, adding that the tactics that did not correspond to the realities of the front were also chosen incorrectly.
He emphasized that the Russian army successfully learns if it makes some mistakes and tries to act more efficiently. As for the Ukrainian army, “Grandfather” noted fatigue from the conflict, problems with the command and a lack of equipment.
“With the forces that we have, we cannot return to the borders of 1991,” the fighter said, adding that “people must understand this.”
