Ukraine started arbitration against Gazprom due to payment for gas transit

NJSC “Naftogaz of Ukraine” filed a petition with the International Arbitration Court for consideration in Zurich of the case against JSC “Gazprom”.
As noted on the website of the Ukrainian national oil and gas company, the reason for the arbitration was the alleged non-payment on time and in full by the Russian company of services for organizing the transportation of natural gas through the territory of Ukraine.
“We will make Gazprom pay,” the statement said.
Naftogaz Ukrainy is also considering the possibility of putting forward additional requirements for the Russian monopoly.
Recall that in early August, the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov stated that Russia continues to pay Ukraine for gas transit through the only working branch. “The money is accepted and the payment goes through,” the head of the Kremlin press service noted.
