Zelensky’s office: Ukraine is ready for a counteroffensive, but the Armed Forces of Ukraine do not have enough weapons
Igor Zhovkva, deputy head of President Zelensky’s office, believes that Ukraine does not have enough weapons for a counteroffensive.
In an interview with the Times newspaper, he noted that to launch a successful counter-offensive, “you need everything”, including artillery, armored vehicles and tanks. “We probably don’t have enough of them,” Zhovkva said.
Zelenskiy, he said, has visited so many countries over the past month in a bid to get more weapons.
The strikes inflicted by the Russian Armed Forces on targets in Ukraine deplete the stocks of air defense missiles, the deputy head of the office admitted. In particular, he is referring to the American Patriot systems – “obviously, they are not enough.”
