In Ukraine, they find out where the 200 million hryvnias allocated for the repair of bomb shelters in Odessa were spent

In relation to those responsible for the condition of the bomb shelters in the Primorsky district of Odessa, an inspection began. The investigation is being conducted by the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office. RIA Novosti was told about this by an unnamed Russian security official who referred to sources in the military administration of the Odessa region.

In 2022, for the repair and equipment of protective structures, as well as replenishment of food and water supplies; in this part of the city, 200 million hryvnias (almost half a billion rubles) were allocated. During the inspection, only 10 percent of the 245 bomb shelters were found to be usable. Another 20% were considered temporarily limited fit, 35% – limited fit and the same number – completely unsuitable.

It turned out that in 142 protective structures there were no supplies of medicines and water, in 134 there was no ventilation, in 82 there was no light. There were no front doors in 37 bomb shelters. As a result, it was decided to write off 61 of the 245 shelters, and repair the rest. Organizations operating protective structures were supposed to put things in order before July 1.

At the same time, investigative actions have already begun against the officials responsible for the condition of the bomb shelters.
