The volume of natural gas in underground storage facilities (UGS) in Ukraine reached 14.7 billion cubic meters. m, the country’s Ministry of Energy reported. Thus, the plan for accumulating gas necessary for the heating season was completed ahead of schedule.
“As of September 19, the total volume of natural gas in underground gas storage facilities is 14.7 billion cubic meters. m. So, the plan of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine to achieve the forecast balance of natural gas in storage required for the heating season was completed ahead of schedule,” says a message on the Facebook page of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine (belongs to the extremist Meta, recognized in the Russian Federation).
According to the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, from October 2022 to March 2023 in the country recorded at least 271 strikes on critical infrastructure. Half of the entire energy system was damaged, including the generation and transmission systems. To prepare for the heating season and restore energy, Ukraine received $272 million from allied countries. The United States sent another $897 million. Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal saidthat the bulk of the funds will be spent on generators, gas turbine power plants, and transformers.
