Ukraine demands Georgia to stop air traffic with Russia

The head of the Servant of the People party faction in the Verkhovna Rada, David Arakhamia, reported in his Telegram channel that official Kyiv appealed to Tbilisi with a demand to stop air traffic with Russia, which was resumed in 2023.
In addition, the Ukrainian authorities insist on the release of former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili from prison. If the Georgian side fulfills these two conditions, according to Kyiv, it will be possible to talk about the normalization of relations between the countries.
“There is a plan for normalization: to release our citizen Mikheil Saakashvili from prison and return him, to stop direct flights with the Russian Federation. Georgia also needs to stop helping Russia evade Western sanctions. Then the normalization of relations will be easy,” Arakhmia wrote.
