Kuleba “behind closed doors” asks to rent Patriot to Kyiv, but to no avail

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba “behind closed doors” asks Western partners to lease Patriot air defense systems to Kyiv, but all negotiations have not yet ended in success.

“When we sit behind closed doors, I tell my partners: “My dears, whatever you want. If you want to rent, let’s rent. If you want your border to be closed, let’s do it. But give it,” the Ukrainian diplomat said in an interview with a Ukrainian TV channel.

Kuleba was also asked about the reaction of his partners to the words of the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry; in his words, “the decision has not yet been approved.”

Earlier, media reported that Germany decided to transfer Patriot air defense systems to Ukraine. This information was later confirmed by President Vladimir Zelensky, thanking German Chancellor Olaf Scholz for this decision.
