UK donates thousands of depleted uranium shells to Ukraine

British Deputy Defense Minister James Hippie, in a written response to a request from MP Kenny MacAskill from the Scottish Alba Party, said that London had already sent thousands of shells for Challenger 2 tanks, including those with depleted uranium, to Kiev.
The response states that the UK Department of Defense will not comment on the use of these projectiles for reasons of operational security.
The hippie added that now the depleted uranium projectiles are controlled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the UK will not monitor the places where these ammunition are used.
Hippie also noted that the Ministry of Defense of the kingdom has no obligation to clean up depleted uranium shells after the end of the conflict.
