UK announces start of training for Ukrainian military pilots

The UK will train Ukrainian military pilots and marines. This is stated in a statement by the office of British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.
The report notes that London intends to expand the training of Ukrainian troops “at sea and in the air.” It will include training fighter pilots and marines, as well as speeding up the delivery of military equipment.
Earlier it became known that following the meeting with Zelensky, Sunak would also announce the start of deliveries to Kyiv more long-range weapons. What types of weapons are in question – is still unknown.
Zelensky is due to visit London on Wednesday, February 8. The previously planned visit of the President of Ukraine to the UK was not announced.
