Russian air defense forces shot down two missiles launched by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of the Kerch Strait, informed Governor of the region Sergey Aksenov in his Telegram channel.
“In the area of the Kerch Strait, air defense forces shot down two enemy missiles. The Crimean bridge is not damaged,” he wrote.
The head of the region urged people to remain calm and trust only official sources of information.
Earlier today the Ministry of Defense reported on the suppression of the night attack by UAF drones on the Crimea. 14 drones were destroyed by means of air defense, the rest with the help of electronic warfare. There were no casualties or damage as a result of the attack.
On August 6, the Ukrainian military fired rockets towards the Chongarsky bridge in northern Crimea, damaging the road, Aksyonov said. On the night of August 4, 13 Ukrainian drones tried to attack targets in Crimea. On July 30, the Ministry of Defense announced an attempt to attack Crimea with 25 drones. According to the Russian military, all of them were destroyed. As a result of the attack, no one was injured, there was no damage.
In Crimea, the “yellow” (high) level of terrorist threat is now indefinitely valid. The power departments of the republic have strengthened control over the movement of vehicles across the borders of Crimea and organized the inspection of cars using weapons and explosives detection tools. There are three levels of terrorist danger: “blue” (increased), “yellow” (high) and “red” (critical).
