The German publication Bild cites research from the INSA Institute, which suggests that two-thirds of citizens would like to replace German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and see the current Minister of Defense Boris Pistorius in this post.
Thus, out of 1,004 people surveyed by the agency, 64.3% were in favor of this option for changing power.
Earlier, Western media reported that Scholz could leave the post of chancellor early in 2024. At the same time, both Bild and the Italian publication La Repubblica named Pistorius as the most likely replacement for Scholz.
Currently, the ruling coalition in Germany has very low ratings and Scholz is unable to reverse these trends.
