As part of the Chechen special forces “Akhmat”, two more volunteer detachments were created, formed from former fighters of the Wagner PMC with a total number of 1 thousand people. About it TASS said deputy commander of the 2nd Army Corps and commander of the Akhmat special forces, Apti Alaudinov.
“At the moment, there are quite a large number of former Wagner fighters, in addition to Tuning Fork, in Akhmat itself. I would like to note that separately, two more detachments entered Akhmat and signed a contract with the Ministry of Defense. This already turns out to be three full-fledged detachments consisting of fighters from the Wagner PMC,” said Apti Alaudinov.
On the creation of the special unit “Kamerton” as part of “Akhmat” from former fighters of the PMC “Wagner” became known in November 2023.
