At least two employees of the Finnish social department Kela were fired due to the fact that they have a second citizenship – Russian. This is reported by local media.
It is noted that the software developer and programmer were fired. The first was born and lived in Moscow, but at the age of six he moved to Finland, and the second has the whole family in Suomi. Suspended from work after being checked by the Supo security police.
“The authorities said that I was a risk factor for Kela, in their opinion, they could try to influence me with threats or bribery,” the programmer said.
Another programmer was told that the company must adhere to obligations to comply with anti-Russian sanctions. At the same time, they noted that the obligation contains a clause stating that a subcontractor cannot perform a person or body who is a citizen of Russia.
