Twitter banned Roizman from tweeting

The former mayor of Yekaterinburg, Yevgeny Roizman, said that he could not write tweets and respond to them. He is unaware of the reasons for limiting the functions of his Twitter account.
Mr. Roizman spoke about the restrictions on the social network to the publication Republic (included in the register of foreign agents). The politician does not know what the decision of Twitter is connected with. He suggested that the restrictions were introduced because of a tweet “about morons” or because of a record with an insult against the former Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi.
Roizman has about 638,000 followers on Twitter. He is known for harsh statements on the social network, including the use of obscene language.
Evgeny Roizman in May fined for 85 thousand rubles. for disrespect for the authorities (part 3 of article 20.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation). The reason was the publication of a politician on Instagram (part of Meta, which is recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation). It contained a link to the news with the words of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov that Russia’s military operation in Ukraine should “end the US course to dominate the world.” In the social network, Evgeny Roizman expressed disagreement with the words of the politician.
