Turnout in Russian presidential elections exceeded 60% – Kommersant

The overall turnout in the Russian presidential elections on March 17 at 09:35 Moscow time is 60.03%, indicated on website Central Election Commission. By the end of the second day of voting, March 16, when all polling stations closed, the overall turnout was 58.45%.
For the first time in Russia, presidential elections are held over three days: from March 15 to 17. Four candidates are vying for the presidency: Leonid Slutsky (LDPR), Nikolai Kharitonov (KPRF), Vladislav Davankov (New People) and Vladimir Putin (self-nominated).
This is also the first presidential election in which the remote electronic voting (DEV) system is available. With its help, residents of 29 regions of Russia, including Moscow, can cast their votes. According to the results of the second day of elections, 4.2 million people voted in the capital, most of them through the DEG.
