Turkish Foreign Ministry: Israeli brutality in Gaza cannot be called self-defense

The brutality of the Israeli military in Gaza cannot be justified by self-defense, Turkish Foreign Ministry spokesman Oncü Keceli said. His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.
The Turkish Foreign Ministry reportedly responded in this way to a statement by Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen. He wrote on social networks that the Turkish authorities can “host” Hamas members who will be able to leave the Gaza Strip “if they are not eliminated.”
Keceli accused Israel of complete disregard for human rights and international law. According to him, the more cruel Israel acts towards the people of Palestine, the more serious will be the resistance to its aggression.
The official representative of the Turkish Foreign Ministry also recalled the causes of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, that is, the Israeli occupation of Palestinian territory. He also accused Israeli authorities of an “expansionist mentality and repression.”
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has repeatedly said that he does not consider Hamas to be terrorists, while he has called Israel a terrorist state.
