Turkish Foreign Minister discussed Israel and Iran with Blinken
Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan had a telephone conversation with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, RIA Novosti reports, citing a source in Ankara.
According to the agency’s interlocutor, the situation in the region was discussed after Iran’s night attack on Israel. Fidan told his interlocutor that Ankara is concerned about the risk of escalation and the possibility of “spreading the crisis in the region.”
Also, the RIA source said that Fidan called the fighting in the Gaza Strip “the core of the problem” and called for an immediate ceasefire.
