Turchak called for the speedy return of Russians who left the country

It is necessary to make sure that the Russians who left the country return as soon as possible, Andrey Turchak, First Vice Speaker of the Federation Council, Secretary of the General Council of United Russia, told reporters.

“Our task is to make sure that those who left return as soon as possible. Except for those who allowed themselves attacks on the country and the Armed Forces,” he said. This is important for the country’s economy, for the families and loved ones of people who left Russia, the senator added.

Prior to this, State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin urged confiscate property of citizens who left the Russian Federation and speak negatively about the country, its inhabitants and the military. Volodin said that the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation should be supplemented with an article on the confiscation of property for extremism, the rehabilitation of Nazism and the discrediting of the Russian army.
