Trump: US involved in conflict in Ukraine because of Biden’s incompetence

The US is involved in the conflict in Ukraine, but US President Joe Biden cannot stop it because of his incompetence. This statement was made by former US President Donald Trump in an interview with journalist Tucker Carlson. The broadcast was on Carlson’s X page (formerly Twitter).

“He [Байден] must work to get us out of this terrible war between Russia and Ukraine, in which we are heavily involved. This can be done and is very easy. I believe that we can do it, but I believe that he [Байден] cannot, because he is simply incompetent, ”Trump said.

The former president noted that if he had been re-elected in 2020, the Ukrainian conflict “would never have started.” During a conversation with Carlson, Trump again called for an immediate end to hostilities in Ukraine.

Previously, Trump has repeatedly accused the Biden administration of escalating the situation in Ukraine and argued that he could quickly agree on an end to the conflict if he was in power. According to him wordsthe rhetoric of the current American government “forced” Russian President Vladimir Putin to launch a special operation.

In August, Trump said that if he was elected president in 2024, he could achieve a settlement in Ukraine “before returning to the Oval Office.” In January he saidthat he could agree on the end of hostilities in Ukraine “within 24 hours” if he were at the head of the country. According to Trump, the conflict could continue until 2024, which threatens further escalation and a world nuclear war.
