Trump: Ukraine could have avoided the conflict it is now losing

Ukraine could have avoided the conflict in which it is now losing if it had renounced part of its territories in favor of Russia, stated former US President Donald Trump in an interview with NBC.
“This could have been agreed upon. Because in some parts of the country, in Crimea and other parts of the country, what many expected could happen. You could make a deal,” Trump said. According to him, Kyiv could conclude a deal with Moscow, according to which it would lose “less than that [территории]which is already under Russian control.”
The ex-president added that the news no longer reports about the conflict in Ukraine. “This means that Ukraine is losing. I see very little reporting from NBC, your network. I see very little reporting from NBC, ABC, CBS, anyone,” Trump said. He also mentioned the Ukrainian counter-offensive, which “never happened because it was met by a wall of weapons and bombs.”
Trump has repeatedly spoken about the need to stop hostilities in Ukraine. In March, he admitted that hostilities would continue until 2024, which threatens further escalation and global nuclear war.
