Trump to be released on $200,000 bail in election interference case

Former US President Donald Trump has agreed to $200,000 bail in a 2020 Georgia election interference case. transmits CNN.

Other conditions of release include a ban on harassment and intimidation of other defendants in this case and communication with them not through lawyers, as well as a ban on publishing information about this case on social networks.

Georgia Grand Jury presented accusations against Trump on August 14. This was the fourth criminal case in which the former US president became a defendant. The indictment includes 13 charges against Trump. According to CNN, this is the first time that bail has appeared among the conditions for Trump’s release.

Another 18 people are involved in this case – all of them are considered Trump supporters. They are ordered to appear in prison before August 25.

Trump now faces a total of 91 charges across four criminal cases in four different jurisdictions. On August 2, a third charge was brought against Trump, which is related to the storming of the Capitol by his supporters in January 2021. As a result of the incident, five people died. The charge of storming the Capitol includes four counts: “conspiracy to deceive the United States”, “conspiracy to falsify witness statements”, “conspiracy against the rights of American citizens”, “obstruction and attempted obstruction of the proceedings.”

Prior to this, the former president was charged with transferring $ 130,000 to pornographic actress Stormy Daniels in exchange for silence about their connection. In July, Trump was charged with 38 counts over classified documents that were found at his residence.
