Trump says prosecutors have no evidence against him

Former US President Donald Trump said prosecutors have no evidence of the charges against him. He posted the message on his social network Truth Social.
“Practically every lawyer says there is no case. Nothing illegal was done,” he wrote.
Trump called the hearings “shocking”, noting that “they did not bring any surprises.” He added that he was already in Florida.
During a speech at his Mar-a-Lago estate, the politician also notedthat lawyers see no prospects for a case against him. According to Trump, he is being persecuted, not a trial. What is happening is election interference, he added.
The former US president also accused New York District Attorney Alvin Bragg, who is handling his case, of bias. Trump added that he turned down an offer to settle the case out of court. According to him, Bragg also understands that “this is not the case.”
On the eve of April 4, Trump was formally charged in Manhattan District Court. This is the first criminal prosecution of a former head of state in American history. Previously Trump was arrested. After the charges were filed, he was formally arrested.
Trump is charged with 34 counts of forgery of financial documents. Prosecutors say Trump’s former personal lawyer Michael Cohen gave $130,000 to pornographic actress Stormy Daniels to “buy silence” over the actress’ alleged ties to Trump in 2006.
In 2018, the investigation drew attention to the fact that the payment was indicated in the documents as payment for legal services at the expense of the Trump Organization, which can be regarded as an intentional forgery of financial documents. In total, about 30 episodes of business fraud appear in the case. Trump blame do not recognize.
