The Trump estate was searched on August 8. The former president noted its inappropriateness and complained that FBI agents broke into his safe. According to US media, the search was related to documents that Trump took with him after leaving the White House. We are talking about 15 boxes of documents that contain information about national security: the US National Archives asked Trump to return them “for many months” and eventually turned to the FBI. Subsequently, they were returned, but, according to media reports, the Ministry of Justice nevertheless initiated the issuance of a search warrant so that the FBI officers would make sure that no documents were taken away from the estate.
Earlier, The Washington Post reported that the documents that the FBI was looking for at his estate contained classified material related to nuclear weapons. At the same time, the interlocutors of the publication did not say which state the nuclear weapons belong to, what kind of information the agents were looking for and whether they found it as a result.
