Trade turnover between Russia and Belarus increased by 16.9%

The mutual trade turnover between Belarus and Russia in the first half of 2023 increased by 16.9% compared to the same period in 2022. About this reported agency “BelTA” with reference to the State Secretary of the Union State of Russia and Belarus Dmitry Mezentsev.

The volume of exports of goods from Belarus to Russia for the specified period increased by 37.7%. According to Mezentsev, the countries are expanding cooperation in industry, agriculture, petrochemistry, and services, and are demonstrating successful interaction at the regional level.

The countries are implementing 16 joint projects in the industry, as well as discussing joint initiatives in the aircraft industry, the production of equipment and components for automotive and agricultural engineering enterprises, and other areas.

At the end of 2022, Mezentsev at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin toldthat 28 programs for the economic integration of Russia and Belarus are planned.
