Nikolai Patrushev also noted that those who carried out the terrorist attack were detained while trying to approach the Russian border, where, according to him, a window for crossing was being prepared on the Ukrainian side. Mr. Patrushev believes that the reaction of Vladimir Zelensky, who accused the Russian authorities of the terrorist attack, was inadequate. In his opinion, it is also significant that immediately after the terrorist attack the United States began to “actively promote the thesis of Ukraine’s non-involvement.”

The terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall occurred on the evening of March 22, shortly before the start of the concert of the Picnic group. 144 people were killed and 551 visitors to the complex were injured. The Islamic State (recognized as terrorist and banned) claimed responsibility for the attack. American intelligence agencies are talking about the group’s involvement. President Vladimir Putin said that the terrorist attack was carried out by radical Islamists.
