“Last year, the Schengen states issued 687,000 visas to Russians, including multiple-entry ones. We are talking about 17 countries that issue documents. Among the countries popular with Russian tourists in Europe are Italy, Spain, Greece, France, Austria, Hungary,” said Dmitry Gorin.
According to him, direct air communication between Russia and Israel makes it possible to travel both for personal purposes and for business and tourism.
In September 2022, Poland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Finland, and the Czech Republic banned Russians from entering through the EU border for the purpose of tourism. These six countries, as well as Belgium, the Netherlands, Norway and Slovakia, have stopped issuing tourist visas. At the same time, the EU suspended the simplified visa regime with Russia and raised the cost of the visa fee.
