Samolet’s board of directors instructed the management to buy back its own shares on the market in the amount of up to 10 billion rubles. It is planned to carry out buyback before the end of 2023, according to press release on the company’s website.
It is clarified that the decision was made taking into account the fact that “a fair assessment of the value of the company’s net assets is five times higher than the current capitalization”, and “the dynamics of the share price does not reflect the multiple growth of the business over the past few years.” The buyout will be carried out by a subsidiary of the group. The acquired shares are planned to be “used for general corporate purposes,” Samolet added.
In May, Samolet Group of Companies bought a network of real estate agencies – Ufa-based Zoltor. Together with her, the developer expects to take up to 10% of the agency services market and sell real estate for 600 billion rubles. already in 2023. Experts believe that the deal to buy Zoltor will allow Samolet to manage the overflowing demand from the primary market to the secondary one.
