Tokayev wins presidential election in Kazakhstan, according to exit poll

The current president of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, wins early elections in the republic. This is evidenced by the results of the exit poll of the International Institute for Regional Studies “Open Society”.
According to the poll, 82.45% of voters voted for Tokayev. This was announced during the online telethon of the state channel “Kazakhstan”.
The voter turnout was 69.43%. Alma-Ata showed the smallest turnout, 28.72%, the largest – Zhetysu region, 81.42%.
Early elections were held in accordance with the updated constitution. Now the president is elected for seven years without the right to re-election.
