President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev dismissed the head of the National Bank of the country, Galymzhan Pirmatov. About it informs press service of the head of the republic.
“By the Decree of the Head of State, Pirmatov Galymzhan Olzhaevich was relieved of the post of Chairman of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan,” the message says.
Timur Suleimenov, who has been the first deputy head of the presidential administration since January 2022, has been proposed for the post of new chairman of the National Bank of Kazakhstan. On September 4, the deputies of the Senate agreed on his appointment, transmits Tengrinews.kz.
Galymzhan Pirmatov Pirmatov has served as the head of the National Bank since February 2022. Prior to that, he was the chairman of the board of the national nuclear company Kazatomprom.
In early September, Tokayev carried out a series of personnel changes in the country. On September 1, he dismissed the ministers of industry and infrastructure development, information and social development, culture and sports, as well as ecology and natural resources. On September 2, the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic, Marat Akhmetzhanov, was dismissed, on September 4, the Minister of Agriculture, Yerbol Karashukeev.
