Macron, in turn, thanked the President of Kazakhstan for the invitation and noted that France and Kazakhstan are “important economic partners.” The French leader also announced the signing of “significant contracts” between the two countries.

During negotiations in a narrow format, Macron and Tokayev discussed the prospects for the Kazakh-French strategic partnership, strengthening political dialogue, as well as the development of cooperation in a number of areas, including trade, economic, energy, investment, etc. In addition, the leaders exchanged views on current issues of international and regional agenda, noted the press service of the President of Kazakhstan.

Macron arrived in Kazakhstan on an official visit on November 1. After negotiations between the leaders in a narrow format, communication continued in an expanded format with the participation of delegations from the two countries. After Kazakhstan, Macron will also visit Uzbekistan.
