The government allocated 50 billion rubles to Moscow, St. Petersburg and the Tula region. for the construction and reconstruction of cultural facilities, as well as the resettlement of citizens from emergency housing. The order was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
In particular, the money will be spent on:
- construction of a new museum complex of the Tretyakov Gallery on Kadashevskaya Embankment in Moscow;
- reconstruction and restoration of the St. Petersburg State Conservatory. N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov;
- restoration of the museum-estate of Leo Tolstoy “Yasnaya Polyana”.
“The allocated funds will also make it possible to relocate people from emergency housing in a proactive manner. Due to the redistribution of 22.1 billion rubles. in 2022-2023, more than 15 thousand people will improve their living conditions,” added the press service government.
In November, President Vladimir Putin declaredthat people living in emergency housing need to be relocated. He argued that the resettlement of the emergency housing stock in the country is ahead of schedule.
