Three deputies of the Belgorod Regional Duma resigned ahead of schedule – Kommersant

Deputies of the Belgorod Regional Duma Olga Pavlova, Valery Sergachev and Elena Bondarenko left the regional parliament. How told At today’s meeting of the Regional Duma, its speaker Yuri Klepikov, earlier they all filed an application for early resignation.

Until April last year, these deputies held high positions in the regional parliament: Olga Pavlova was the chairman of the regional duma for two years, and Valery Sergachev and Elena Bondarenko were her first and usual deputies, respectively. They left their positions against the backdrop of scandal, which followed the publication of the book “The Shock”, written by the former Belgorod governor, and now senator Evgeny Savchenko. In his creation, the ex-head of the region spoke about the experience of spiritual communication with the “Lord of the Earth Monoston”. After the publication of the book, his former associates were expelled from United Russia.

By decision of the Belgorod court, the work of Mr. Savchenko will be checked for extremism. It mentions the book “The Gospel of Elizabeth”, published by Mr. Sergachev’s company and distributed allegedly with the participation of Mrs. Pavlova. At the suit of the prosecutor’s office, “Gospel …” has already been recognized as extremist material.
