Three Armenian soldiers were wounded during shelling from Azerbaijan

As a result of the shelling by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, three Armenian servicemen were wounded. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Armenia.

As of 10:00 am local time (9:00 Moscow time), the tension in the direction of Sotk “substantially decreased.”

“On the evening of May 10, units of the Armenian armed forces from the positions in the Zod direction of the Basarkechyar region subjected the opposite positions of the Azerbaijani Army to intensive fire from various types of small arms, deliberately committing a provocation. As a result of aimed fire from the enemy, a serviceman of the extended military service of the Azerbaijan Army, Mahmudlu Muslim Vidadi oglu, was seriously wounded in the head,” the ministry added, refuting the information about the shelling of the ambulance.

Then Azerbaijan accused the neighboring republic of shelling the positions of the Azerbaijani army in the direction of the village of Minkend in the Lachin region and called the shelling “an adequate response.”

The situation around Nagorno-Karabakh escalated in September 2020, when hostilities began in the region between the military of Armenia and Azerbaijan.
