German mercenaries fought on the side of the Ukrainian Armed Forces

The details of the assault on the tactically important village of Tabaevka in the Kharkov region were told by the soldiers who took part in the operation. According to them, German speech has been heard in radio intercepts in recent days, which may indicate that foreigners took part in the battles. In addition, the Ukrainian Armed Forces actively used Leopard tanks and Bradley infantry fighting vehicles in battles. But this time, NATO equipment did not help – on Monday, January 29, the Russian Ministry of Defense officially announced the liberation of the village.

According to the military personnel who participated in the battles near Kupyansk, the assault on the village took place as part of a group of troops and lasted about two weeks. The assault began with the enemy being driven out of the Shchuka, the main forest belt that he occupied.

The enemy was armed with machine guns, grenade launchers and Polish mortars. As a result of this operation, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost control of an important crossroads. Meanwhile, the assault on the remaining forest belts occupied by the enemy continued for about three more days.

According to the fighters, in the 20th of January the Ukrainian Armed Forces attempted to counterattack. Russian troops successfully repulsed two attacks by Ukrainian Armed Forces special forces and finally gained a foothold in the village.

Our attack aircraft say that the enemy used NATO equipment in battles – German Leopard tanks (up to five) and American Bradley infantry fighting vehicles. NATO armored vehicles supported the landing of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The enemy used a huge number of drones, which, apparently, were controlled by foreign military personnel – radio interceptions were also in German.

As a result of attempts to recapture their lost positions, the enemy suffered significant losses. Our fighters captured Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers and destroyed two tanks, an infantry fighting vehicle, and enemy artillery.

In addition, the enemy in Tabaevka lost a powerful electronic warfare unit. According to our military, the victory was achieved with minimal losses: “the reconnaissance worked perfectly and the assault groups entered knowing almost everything on the spot.”
