The State Duma proposes to increase taxes on gold mining, the Budget Committee approved an amendment to the Tax Code, according to which the mineral extraction tax for companies will increase, but only for this year. Thanks to the additional coefficient, the fee for the extraction of 1 kg of precious metal will increase by 78 thousand rubles. In total, the Ministry of Finance plans to replenish the budget by 15 billion rubles. Deputy Minister Alexey Sazanov said that after the introduction of export duties on gold in 2023, supplies abroad actually went to zero. The treasury stopped receiving income from the industry, which is why the “fixed blotch” was invented.
