There will be no single price for Russian gas for the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), said Russian Energy Minister Nikolai Shulginov. He added that the price tag in any case will be significantly lower than the world one.
“Prices will be set by the country itself, taking into account its own interests, its own obligations, supply opportunities, logistics, and so on. There will still be no single price … Today, the price in each country is different. It has long been accepted. At the same time, it is important to take into account that prices for all our partners are significantly lower than world prices,” Mr. Shulginov told reporters on the sidelines of the Eurasian Economic Forum (quote – “RIA News”).
In December 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin informedthat energy prices in the EAEU countries are ten times lower than those in the European Union. According to statistics later presented by the president, the volume of mutual trade between the union members in 2021 reached $73.1 billion.
