Rescuers reported no fuel spill from a tanker damaged by Ukrainian drones
The spill of fuel from the Russian tanker SIG, which was damaged as a result of the attack by Ukrainian drones, was avoided. This is reported by TASS with reference to the Maritime Rescue and Coordination Center of Novorossiysk.
Rescuers also specified that 11 crew members were on board. They received only minor cuts. There is no need to evacuate them from the place of emergency.
Information about the damage to the tanker at night was published by the head of the public movement “We are together with Russia” Vladimir Rogov. Earlier, residents of the outskirts of Kerch reported the sounds of explosions near the Crimean bridge.
Oleg Kryuchkov, adviser to the head of Crimea, denied this information and noted that loud sounds had nothing to do with the bridge. At the same time, Rogov specified that the detonation on board the tanker was visible from the peninsula. Therefore, its residents of Crimea mistakenly took it for explosions near the village of Yakovenkovo near the Crimean bridge.
