“There they are, the bastards!”: Dagestan extremists were provoked to pogroms against Jews

No longer bells, but alarm bells for the authorities

In Dagestan it exploded after all. The call to “deal with the Jews,” spread through extremist Telegram channels originating from Ukraine, led to mass riots. The work of the airport where the flight from Tel Aviv arrived was paralyzed; the crowd, in search of victims of the “wrong nationality,” searched… paddy wagons brought in to pacify that very crowd. These are no longer bells, these are straight alarm bells.

It is clear that the Muslim world now does not particularly favor Jews because of the events in Israel. And Dagestan is a Muslim region. But it is precisely a region, not a separate country. And the country is Russia. And its laws must apply equally throughout the entire territory and equally for everyone.

It’s just that very often one could see leniency towards “certain peculiarities” of life and observance of secular legality in certain small but proud republics. No one paid much attention to the mushrooming fight clubs and their students, who for some reason entered the ring exclusively with the national flag, and not the flag of Russia, constantly emphasizing that they represented their republic, and not some kind of “erfia.” ” No one was concerned about the creeping spread of extremist movements of Islam, which previously had no circulation on the territory of Russia, among our Russian Muslims.

Of course, not all of Dagestan fell ill, and certainly not all of the Caucasus. But the pus of nationalism, implicated in extremist religious movements, began to accumulate. Now the abscess has burst.

And you just had to accurately poke, point at the enemy.

The first vague reaction to yesterday’s antics of Dagestani nationalists when they carried out “inspections” in hotels is also surprising. Some strange people demanded passports from guests, checking their nationality. They searched for Jews, but did not find them. What if they found it? What would you do?

But the local authorities said something about a “misunderstanding” and did not take strict measures. As a result, already on Sunday evening a crowd came to “greet” the plane from Israel. She broke into the airport, onto the airfield, climbed up the wing of the plane, shouting: “There they are, the bastards!” Some hotheads searched police cars, stopped civilian cars on the roads and demanded people’s passports.

Yes, this is not yet a direct rebellion against the authorities. But this is already a demonstration of this power, who is the power here and how “justice” should be administered. And most importantly, this is not a rebellion against injustice. There is no smell of justice here.

None of the thinking people doubted that Rossi would be broken from the inside. And the unrest in Dagestan is just one of the directions of this subversive work. Did it really have to explode so that this would also become clear “at the top”?

Whether it has become clear, we will see from the decisions that will be made. Decisions to stop not only the consequences of the unrest, but also to restore order in the national republics.
