“There are no good terrorists” – Kommersant FM

Republicans have introduced into the US Congress a bill on emergency aid to Israel in the amount of over $14 billion. The document contradicts President Joe Biden’s initiative to allocate more than $100 billion not only to the Jewish state, but also, in particular, to Ukraine and Taiwan. Washington supports the Israeli operation, but at the same time negotiations are underway on so-called humanitarian pauses. Kommersant FM political commentator Dmitry Drize believes that the international community cannot find any non-military solution to the conflict.

Israel has launched a ground operation in the Gaza Strip, and the rest of the world continues to speculate about what the Middle East should look like after the war. Some threaten terrible punishments for the Jewish state and even world war, and some condemn with stock phrases, many decisively.

But we have to admit that there is no visible non-military solution to the situation today. That is, the general meaning is this: the operation to eliminate Hamas will be completed, then we will think about it. Now it is important to prevent the conflict from escalating and causing a humanitarian catastrophe. In this regard, by the way, there is progress.

But here’s what I’d like to draw your attention to: the Arab world, of course, supports its Palestinian brothers, but somehow it’s not easy to accommodate refugees. Egypt, the main country that borders the enclave, flatly refuses to accept migrants.

You can understand them: on the one hand, this is truly a disaster, on the other hand, just understand who is a civilian and who is a militant – no one needs problems. In Egypt, too, everything is not ideal; if something goes wrong there, the result will be completely disastrous.

But here again we are faced with the same thing: the West, of course, is bad, aggressive, decaying, but as soon as it comes to helping someone, then all the questions are directed to it.

Let America and the EU do all this, and we will stand aside. We will aggressively condemn the Israeli military and flex our muscles. But there will be no West, what to do then? Nobody asked this question. What is a multipolar world? This is, first of all, when everyone knows how to solve their problems on their own, without pointing to anyone.

One cannot ignore, in fact, an incredible event – at the United Nations, the Israeli delegation attached the yellow six-pointed Stars of David, which, at the request of the Nazis, were worn by Jews in Europe during the years of occupation. They are embroidered with the words “Never Again.”

As you know, the UN, on the initiative of many states friends of Palestine, is demanding a ceasefire, but no one is particularly going to recognize Israel’s right to self-defense. Apart from the so-called Western bloc, and even then it is not in full force, there are those who are afraid.

A lot has already been said about this United Nations, so there is no point in repeating it. Meanwhile, a powerful rise in anti-Semitism is being recorded. There is evidence that the growth reaches 500% on a planetary scale. These are the changes, and in just 20 days of one year.

The conclusion is the same: whoever is strong is still right.

The more active and successful the ground operation is, the less desire third countries will have to intervene. This is the law of life and at the same time the homespun truth. Yes, and whatever the political objectives, there are no good terrorists. Just as there is no prospect of being friends with them against someone.
