The winners of the military song festival “Katyusha-2023” have been determined

The song festival is dedicated to military personnel participating in the Northern Military District

The final of the XVIII All-Russian festival “Katyusha” took place in Moscow. This is a song competition for soldiers of the Armed Forces, as well as the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Customs Service, the Federal Penitentiary Service, the Investigative Committee, war and military service veterans, and members of their families. In 2023, the festival was held under the sign of support for Northern Military District soldiers.

This is how the director of the festival, artistic director of the CDRA, Irina Titova, outlined the peculiarity of “Katyusha-2023”: “The events of the North Military District are already the leitmotif of “Katyusha”… More and more performers and bards consider it their duty to reflect current military events in their work.”

Many performers themselves visited the SVO zone and not only as artists.

The Golden Epaulets group from the 12th Main Directorate of the Ministry of Defense won the category “Best Vocal and Instrumental Ensemble”. This department is responsible for the military nuclear complex.

Among the laureates in other categories: the vocal ensemble “Cadet Brotherhood” from the Military University; Nikita Petrov (“Author’s song”, Radiation, Chemical and Biological Defense Troops); Sergey Savin (FSIN).

Nikita Petrov also received a prize for the best performance of a song dedicated to the heroes of the Northern Military District.

The Grand Prix was awarded to the vocal ensemble “Cadet Brotherhood”.

Among the organizers of the festival are the Main Military-Political Directorate of the Armed Forces, the Department of Culture of the Ministry of Defense and the Central House of the Russian Army.
