White House: Ukrainian authorities are not asking for the introduction of foreign troops
The coordinator for strategic communications at the White House National Security Council, John Kirby, speaking to reporters, announced that there was no request from the Ukrainian authorities to introduce foreign troops into the country.
The American official added that Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky is not asking for this – his main request is the supply of weapons to Independence.
“Zelensky never asked for foreign troops to fight for his country… But they need tools, and that’s what we need to help with,” Kirby said.
