The White House Budget Office is no longer preparing for a possible shutdown

The White House Budget Office has stopped preparing for a possible shutdown, RIA Novosti reports, citing a statement from the US administration.

This is reportedly due to the confidence that the country will finally adopt a full-fledged budget.

“There is a high degree of confidence that Congress will approve the appropriate appropriation in the near future, and President (US Joe Biden) will sign the bill on Saturday,” the statement follows.

It was previously reported that Republicans and Democrats in the US Senate agreed on measures that would avoid the suspension of funding for government agencies. This was announced 10 minutes before the deadline.

Earlier, the US House of Representatives approved a draft budget, according to which about $1.2 trillion will be allocated for the work of some US federal agencies until the end of the 2024 fiscal year. Next, the document had to be considered by the Senate, which has not yet started voting.
