The White House emphasized the non-involvement of the United States in the attack on the Kremlin

The US has nothing to do with the drone attack on the Kremlin. This statement was made by the coordinator for strategic communications at the White House National Security Council John Kirby on the air of MSNBC.

“I can assure you that there was no involvement of the United States. Whatever it was, the United States did not participate in this, ”he emphasized (quoted by TASS).

Kirby stressed that Washington “does not yet know what happened,” so the US does not give any estimates.

Thus, he commented on the statement by the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov about the involvement of the United States in Kyiv’s attack on the Kremlin using drones. “Such decisions — the definition of goals, the definition of means, and so on — all this is dictated to Kyiv from Washington, and we are well aware of this,” said Kremlin spokesman earlier today.

According to Peskov, Russian intelligence services have information about Ukraine’s involvement in the attack, but “only a fraction” of this information is disclosed. It is important that Washington understands “how dangerous such direct involvement in the conflict is,” he added.

On the night of May 3, Kyiv with the help of two drones tried attack the Kremlin. As a result of the incident, Russian President Vladimir Putin was not injured, said the press secretary of the head of state Dmitry Peskov. The Kremlin called the incident a “planned terrorist act” and “an attempt on the life of the President of Russia.” They stressed that Moscow reserves the right to take retaliatory measures “where and when it sees fit.”

In Kyiv, involvement in the attack is denied. Commenting on the incident, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said that Washington leaves it up to Kyiv to protect its territory in the conflict. Earlier today, Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov declaredthat Washington’s statements “stagger with cynicism and absurdity.” According to him, the statement by US officials about the right of Kyiv “to choose how to defend itself” is an example of double standards. Thus, the United States demonstrates a policy of encouraging Kyiv’s attacks on Russia, the ambassador added.
