Le Figaro: 68% of French people did not agree with Macron’s position on sending troops
About 68% of French citizens disagreed with President Emmanuel Macron’s position to send Western troops into Ukraine. At the same time, 31% of respondents expressed solidarity with this idea. This was reported by the French newspaper Le Figaro, citing data from a survey by Odoxa-Backbone Consulting.
In addition, 51% of French people consider Russia “a necessary evil that France must deal with”, namely, they believe that neutrality should be maintained towards Moscow.
Also, according to the survey results, 37% of respondents view Russia as an “enemy that needs to be fought,” and 11% as an ally.
