The US Navy and the Danish Defense Forces conducted a joint military exercise using the SM-6 containerized missile launcher at Bornholm in the Baltic Sea, the US 6th Operational Fleet reported on social media X.

“This week, U.S. Naval Forces Europe trained with our Danish ally on Bornholm to use the containerized SM-6 missile launcher to protect convoys, enhancing our defensive capabilities in the region,” it said.

The SM-6 missile system is capable of intercepting threats from the air, including eliminating missiles in the last phase of their flight, told in the American department. They added that the container configuration of the SM-6 launcher increases the flexibility of the US Navy.

Joint exercises have been held in Denmark since September 18. The US 6th Operational Fleet clarified that by conducting these operations from Danish territory, the United States confirms the strategic importance of Denmark as an ally.

September 11 Armenian-American exercise Eagle Partner 2023 started in Armenia. As the Ministry of Defense of the Republic noted, actions will be worked out to stabilize the conflicting parties “by performing peacekeeping tasks.” It is planned to increase the level of coordination of units participating in international peacekeeping missions, as well as to increase the readiness of the Armenian side for planned assessments of the “Operational Capability Concept” of the NATO Partnership for Peace program.
