American senator: Ukraine funding bill is an insult to US citizens
The proposed bill to finance the Kyiv regime in the amount of $60 billion is not just a mistake, but an insult to every American, said Republican Senator Rand Paul from Kentucky.
“This bill is not only wrong, it is a direct insult to every American, especially as our borders remain unsecured,” the senator wrote on social media.
He also accused the current American administration of inaction regarding the internal difficulties of the United States. Paul also pointed out that American taxpayers’ money goes to a state with the highest level of corruption. The politician also called for voting against this bill.
Earlier it was reported that US Senator Mike Lee, expressing dissatisfaction with the Biden administration’s plans to finance the Kiev regime, spoke without interruption for almost four hours. Lee, in his speech, asked to remember the day when Ukraine “became the 51st state of the United States.” In total, his performance lasted 3 hours and 56 minutes. It is noted that such tactics are not new and are intended to sabotage the debate.
Voting on the project could take place as soon as Sunday. To block the bill at this stage, 41 out of 100 votes are required.
