Kirby: US sent almost all promised aid to Ukraine
The United States has completed deliveries to the Ukrainian military of almost 100% of the promised weapons and military equipment. This was announced on Monday, May 1, by the coordinator for strategic communications of the National Security Council at the White House, John Kirby.
According to the official, the American authorities sent to Kyiv almost everything that appeared in the list provided to them for the counteroffensive planned for the spring.
Kirby assured that Washington will continue to make efforts to support the Ukrainian army, and “it is a combination of them not only having guns, but that they have the skills to handle them.”
A spokesman for the National Security Council at the White House also said that “you will see” new military aid packages for Ukraine “very, very soon.”
Earlier, John Kirby said that Washington is committed to providing Kyiv with everything necessary for defense. If the Ukrainian army itself decides to go on the offensive, the American side considers it necessary to give it such an opportunity. The official noted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine need artillery ammunition, armored vehicles, air defense equipment, as well as logistics.
