The United States expressed its desire to change the dynamics of hostilities in Ukraine with military assistance

The US is seeking to change the current dynamics of the fighting in Ukraine through the supply of military equipment, including air defense systems and armored vehicles. About it declared State Department spokesman Ned Price during a briefing.

“The dynamics we seek to change <...> is to provide additional security assistance in the amount of $3 billion, <...> including armored fighting vehicles, as well as air defense systems,” he said. Price clarified that there is a dynamic in the conflict in Ukraine in which Ukrainian cities are being shelled by Russia. That is what the US, he says, wants to change.

For the first time, 50 M2 Bradley infantry fighting vehicles (BMP) are planned to be transferred to Kyiv. December 21 US Department of State informed on the allocation of a new military assistance package to Kyiv, which for the first time will include the Patriot air defense system. Earlier, US President Joe Biden ordered Ukraine to receive another $1 billion military aid package. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken also announced an additional $850 million aid package.

Russia’s special operation in Ukraine began on February 24, 2022. Russian President Vladimir Putin called it the protection of the inhabitants of Donbass, as well as the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, as its goals. In response, Western countries imposed large-scale sanctions against Russia and began to provide military assistance to Ukraine. In this regard, back in April, Moscow sent a note of protest to all countries, including the United States. The Russian Foreign Ministry said that by supplying weapons to Ukraine, the United States is trying to prolong the conflict, as well as to benefit from it.
