The United States decided to postpone the imposition of new sanctions against PMC “Wagner”
The United States decided to postpone the imposition of new sanctions against PMCs “Wagner” against the backdrop of events in Russia, according to the Wall Street Journal. It is noted that such a decision was made for the reason that Washington wants to look like supporters of one side or another in the conflict in the Russian Federation.
The US State Department was going to impose sanctions against PMC Wagner on June 27 because of the company’s actions in Africa.
Recall that earlier the United States announced sanctions against the PMC “Wagner” as a “transnational criminal organization.”
It is worth adding that as of the evening of June 24, agreements were reached between Lukashenka and Prigozhin to stop the movement of Wagner PMC columns towards Moscow. Prigozhin also announced the return of fighters to field camps.
